Mildred I. Shoop

HALIFAX - Mildred I. Shoop, 81, of 3088 Back Road, passed away Wednesday, May 31, 2006 at the Manor at 
Susquehanna Village in Millersburg.

Mrs. Shoop was born in Jackson Twp., PA on June 21, 1924, the daughter of the late William and Virgie 
(Hoffman) Snyder.

She was a graduate of the former Elizabethville High School. She retired from the Commonwealth of PA 
licensing department.

She was a member of Valley's UCC in Halifax and the women's auxiliary of VFW Post #5750 in Halifax. 

She was a Veteran of the U.S. Women's Air Corps serving during World War II.

Surviving are her husband of 50 years, John C. Shoop; four sons Gary L. Snyder of Burnham, John E. Shoop 
of Milton, Dennis C. Shoop of Camp Hill, James E. Shoop of Halifax; a sister, Jean Wolfe of Halifax; 
seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Ralph, 
Robert, and William and a sister, Beatrice.

Services will be held Saturday June 3, 2006 at 11 a.m. at Hoover Funeral Homes, Inc. in Millersburg with 
Rev. Kristine Heckard officiating. Interment with military honors at Riverview Memorial Gardens in 
Halifax. Viewing will be from 9-11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
