Ethel L. Shoop HALIFAX - Mrs. Ethel L. Shoop, 88, of 126 Dividing Ridge Road, a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, passed away Friday, September 8, 2006 at the Harrisburg Hospital. Mrs. Shoop was born in Gratz, on July 15, 1918. She was a lifetime member of Jacob's United Methodist Church, Halifax and a member of the Farm Women Group #10, Wayne Twp., and part of the Denny Lennie's Breakfast Club, Halifax. She was the widow of Charles E. Shoop. They were married for over 49 years. Ethel lived life to the fullest, with an immense love for her family. Her bright eyes and beautiful smile will be greatly missed by all those who loved her, including her surviving 2 sons, Rick C., husband of Wendy Shoop, and Edwin E., husband of Paula Shoop, both of Halifax; 2 daughters-in-law, Connie E. Shoop, and Kati Shoop, both of Halifax; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 2 sons, Allen C. and Ernie W. Shoop; and 2 brothers, Rufus and John Paul. Religious Service will be held at Jacob's United Methodist Church, Halifax, at 11 a.m., on Tuesday, September 12th, with Rev. George Barto officiating. Interment at Jacob's U. B. Cemetery. Viewings will be held Monday from 7-9 p.m., at Hoover Funeral Homes, Inc., Millersburg and on Tuesday from 10-11 a.m., at her church. Family requests donations to Jacob's U. M.
